Description:
NES Fircroft is currently seeking a Reserves Engineer to join the Planning & Integration Team within the Integrated Gas business for one of our major clients in Calgary. This position plays a key role in supporting the Annual Review of Petroleum Resources (ARPR) by ensuring the accurate estimation, classification, and reporting of reserves and resources across Canadian Integrated Gas assets.

Description:
NES Fircroft is currently seeking a Reserves Engineer to join the Planning & Integration Team within the Integrated Gas business for one of our major clients in Calgary. This position plays a key role in supporting the Annual Review of Petroleum Resources (ARPR) by ensuring the accurate estimation, classification, and reporting of reserves and resources across Canadian Integrated Gas assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate, classify, and report reserves and resources in compliance with the client's standards and requirements.
- Support controls, assurance processes, and quarterly reporting (e.g., In-Year Bookings, RCCN, eRCCN, Reserves Endorsement Session).
- Collaborate with the Country Reserves Focal Point and asset teams to develop hydrocarbon maturation plans and ensure alignment across the organization.
- Support production and CAPEX/OPEX forecast generation, with consideration for complex risk profiles tied to new facility startups.
- Lead preparations for both internal and external audits.
- Maintain and drive existing workflows while encouraging continuous improvement and process simplification.
- Actively support other Planning & Integration activities in Factory delivery and asset performance improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Degree in Engineering (Reservoir Engineering or Technician background preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset toward efficiency and innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to adopt new systems and optimize workflows.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Mastery of Excel is required; experience with ValNav is a strong asset.
- Ability to manage high workloads during peak periods and support team collaboration.
