NES is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer in the Greater Philadelphia Area for a Rotating Equipment opportunity!  This position would be a full-time long-term embedded contract opportunity with the site's rotating equipment department.  Role is open to Engineers of varying levels of experience with rotating equipment, from more junior to very senior level roles.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our team at our refinery located in Paulsboro, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and other machinery critical to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on rotating equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to rotating machinery, collaborating with other engineering and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

  3. Optimization: Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and performance of rotating equipment through data analysis, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.

  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and recommend improvements for future reliability.

  5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and safety, to ensure seamless integration of rotating equipment activities with overall refinery operations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience with rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical or related field) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Note: Prior experience in a refinery is not mandatory; candidates with relevant rotating equipment experience from various industries are encouraged to apply.
