Position Summary
Contractor Company is seeking a seasoned Safety Coordinator to oversee field operations and ensure the successful execution of cable installation and related construction activities on the Client’s LNG project. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for managing site teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Position Summary
Contractor Company is seeking a seasoned Safety Coordinator to oversee field operations and ensure the successful execution of cable installation and related construction activities on the Client’s LNG project. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for managing site teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of site-specific HSE plans and procedures.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and project-specific safety standards.
- Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for Contractor Company personnel and subcontractors.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, incidents, and near misses.
- Investigate incidents and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices across all site activities.
- Collaborate with Client’s HSE team to align safety protocols and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of safety documentation, permits, and certifications.
- Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, visibility, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a safety role within the construction, energy, or industrial sectors.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent required.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Experience with LNG or large-scale industrial projects preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- CSP, CHST, or other safety-related certifications.
- Familiarity with Contractor Company Cables’ operations and safety standards.
- Experience working with Client LNG or similar clients.
Working Conditions
- Field-based at construction facility sites.
- Requires strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
- May involve extended hours, night shifts, or weekend work depending on project demands.
