Partnering with a leading global organisation in the green technology, energy, and metals sector, we are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join their high-performing projects department.
This organisation is driving the global transition to sustainable industry by accelerating commercial decarbonisation across heavy sectors. The successful candidate will join the Analytics and Reporting Team, which plays a pivotal role in monitoring the progress and performance of major decarbonisation and infrastructure projects.
We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled Data Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, agile environments and is passionate about building scalable data solutions that support critical business reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using tools such as Celery, Prefect, Python, and SQL Server.
Manage cloud infrastructure for data ingestion and processing (AWS, DevOps).
Build efficient data models to support Power BI reporting.
Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define data requirements.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation (Confluence).
Use version control systems (Git) to manage code effectively.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
Tertiary qualifications in Data Engineering, Analytics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
Proficiency in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and data lake technologies.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
Solid understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP) and data engineering principles.
Experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code).
Familiarity with tools like Git, Jira, Confluence, and Visual Studio.
Previous experience in project reporting (cost and schedule) is highly desirable.
Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills.
