An opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Designer - Piping to join this company on a 12-month contract, based in Perth and working Mon-Fri.

Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, you will be involved with a diverse range of projects from concept studies, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning within the mining and minerals processing sector.

The job
Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, you will be involved with a diverse range of projects from concept studies, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning within the mining and minerals processing sector.
Some of your duties will include:
- Producing detailed technical drawings, in accordance with standards, policies and procedures
- Delivering and contribute to practical solutions
- Ensuring project time and cost are met - monitor effectiveness of designs, scheduling of work, resource requirements and review compliance with project execution plan (schedule) and client expectations
- Providing technical guidance and leadership to junior team members
- Demonstrate high standard of safe design practices
- Tertiary qualifications or applicable experience
- Relevant experience working on mining and minerals projects
- Well-developed communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent attitude, team focus and commitment towards safety
- Proficiency in MicroStation design software highly desirable
- Hourly rate up to $95/hr + Superannuation
- 12-month contract
- Mon-Fri hours in Perth CBD
