Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions is looking for a Senior Discipline Task Responsible Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Trondheim and will be led from there.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Obtain detailed knowledge of assigned discipline scope.
  • Prepare discipline input for design basis during start-up.
  • Manage and coordinate team members' work.
  • Ensure clear understanding of discipline scope among team.
  • Coordinate interfaces with suppliers, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
  • Establish and maintain activity schedules and material budgets.
  • Implement approved changes into the discipline schedule.
  • Participate in studies, concept development, and execution tasks.
  • Generate documentation for suppliers and create job cards.
  • Update engineering documents, drawings, and registers.
  • Administer material, perform take-offs, and ensure correct requisitions.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party suppliers and collaborate with other disciplines.
  • Conduct offshore surveys.
  • Deliver results to meet customer and project expectations.
  • Contribute to the training of less-experienced engineers.
 
Skills and Levels Description:
  • Fluent in written and oral English and Norwegian.
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in Engineering; relevant experience compensates for higher education.
  • Experience and knowledge of relevant design rules, regulations, and standards, such as NORSOK.
  • Proficient in Procosys, STID, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to execute, take responsibility, and make decisions.
  • Proactive communication, leadership qualities, and mentoring skills for younger engineers.
  • Branch experienced.
  • Familiarity with Aker Solutions' systems and programs.
  • Cooperative and takes responsibility, communicates effectively.
