NES Fircroft is actively seeking a Senior Document Controller for a remote work-from-home contract opportunity with our client, a Fly Ash Construction Materials Processor. This position will be remote with limited travel from time to time, and will be full-time for a period of about six months, with longer term potential.

Position Summary The Senior Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all technical and project documentation across multiple capital projects and production operations. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in document control for engineering, industrial, or construction-related environments—ideally with exposure to the power, utilities, or cement sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain document control procedures and workflows in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
- Oversee document management systems (electronic and hard copy), ensuring accuracy, version control, and compliance with regulatory and client specifications.
- Coordinate document submissions, approvals, and transmittals between internal teams, engineering contractors, and third-party stakeholders.
- Support construction, engineering, and procurement teams by ensuring timely access to updated documentation.
- Train and mentor junior document control staff or administrative personnel as required.
- Prepare reports, logs, and KPIs on documentation status and performance for project management.
- Manage document retention schedules in compliance with project lifecycle and legal standards.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in document control, preferably within heavy industry (cement, fly ash, power generation, utilities, or similar).
- Proven expertise with document management systems such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of engineering documentation standards, ISO requirements, and QA/QC procedures.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across multidisciplinary teams.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
