The Opportunity:
NES Fircroft are partnering with a tier 1 mining client who are after a senior environmental advisor to join their site major projects team on a rolling 12-month contract, with a multi-year pipeline of projects being funded for the next 3-5 years. This will have a particular focus around green energy and renewable projects for solar, onshore wind and power transmission construction.
The Role:
Site-based role on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth, with flexibility for interstate travel for those able to get their own way to and from Perth each swing. This role is critical to project adherence to all Environmental Site requirements and will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

The Role:
Site-based role on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth, with flexibility for interstate travel for those able to get their own way to and from Perth each swing. This role is critical to project adherence to all Environmental Site requirements and will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:
- Coordination of all site environmental monitoring programs related to construction works.
- Ensuring project adherence to site environmental management plans, with a strong focus on contractor management.
- Coaching the workforce around best environmental practice, including influencing and educating stakeholders up to a Project Management level around environmental obligations.
- Ensuring compliance to part IV and V legislative requirements.
- Managing incident investigations on site for breaches of environmental compliance.
The Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Management or related field.
- Strong experience in site roles for mining or similar heavy industries. Exposure to large scale construction projects advantageous, particularly any experience around power system projects or linear infrastructure.
- Ability and proven experience in building relationships with senior stakeholders both internally and externally from a project and construction management standpoint.
- Experience around managing environmental compliance & reporting requirements.
