Senior ICSS Engineer  Our client’s FPSOs and FLNGs are monitored, controlled, and safeguarded by an Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS), which includes the Fire & Gas (F&G) system. Utilizing reputable suppliers, standardized solutions, and experienced integrators, our client ensures efficient, high-quality design, delivery, and commissioning of these systems.

The ICSS Engineers within the E&I department manage the entire ICSS work scope—from proposal through commissioning and start-up.

Key Responsibilities Proposal / Concept / FEED Phase The Senior ICSS Engineer will:

  • Review client requirements.

  • Participate in system selection processes.

  • Prepare system architecture and estimate I/Os.

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Regulatory standards

    • Classification society requirements

    • Client-specific and internal engineering standards

    Basic / Detail Engineering Phase The Senior ICSS Engineer will:

    • Focus on cost-effectiveness, constructability, operability, and maintainability.

    • Develop a project-specific system design with comprehensive documentation.

    • Prepare essential design documents and philosophies, such as:

      • Hierarchical Shutdown Levels Diagram

      • Cause & Effect Diagrams

      • Control & Safeguarding Philosophy

      • Fire & Gas (F&G) Philosophy and Layouts

      • Participate in safety reviews:

        • HAZOP

        • SIL assessments

        • Prepare RFQs for ICSS, evaluate vendor proposals, and perform vendor selection.

        • Act as Package Engineer, responsible for ensuring timely delivery within budget.

        • Supervise ICSS integration with package units and conduct:

          • Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

          • Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

          • Ensure continuous compliance with applicable standards throughout the project.

            Candidate Profile Education & Experience
            • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (TU/HTS) in a relevant technical discipline.

            • Minimum 8 years of experience with advanced ICSS systems in the Oil & Gas industry.

            • Offshore ICSS experience preferred.

            • Familiarity with international offshore codes and standards is a strong advantage.
