Woodside is currently seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer on a 12-month contract, with a potential to extend up to 3 years.

A leader in Australia’s LNG industry, Woodside is at the forefront of digital innovation, delivering advanced network solutions in challenging environments.
This role, part of the Australian Network team, ensures secure, reliable, and adaptive network operations to support both corporate and operational needs.

Reporting to the Network Operations Lead, your duties will include:
  • Provide technical guidance on network operations and strategy.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical project plans (HLD, LLD, resources, schedule, change management).
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, stakeholder coordination, and governance.
  • Support hands-on network installations (onshore/offshore).
  • Collaborate with IT support to resolve critical network issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-incident reviews.
  • Ensure service quality across the network portfolio.
  • Oversee Managed Service Providers for network support and maintenance.
  • Contribute to network security architecture and strategy.
  • Mentor team members and build internal capability.
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong background in network security, routing, switching, wireless, voice, and system integration.
  • Experience with IT/OT/Telecoms in safety-critical O&G environments.
  • Proven project delivery in oil & gas, mining, or resources sectors.
  • Willingness to travel to remote/international sites.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Site Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid Industry Safety Induction (Safer Together), OR
  • Have 12 months O&G experience in the last 2 years for experienced worker exemption.
