About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in engineering design who has transitioned into project management and thrives in brownfield environment. You will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge technology and prototype projects, with a focus on Electrical and mechanical. The role requires a proactive leader who can manage the full lifecycle of projects, from concept and design through to execution, commissioning, and closeout, while ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
Salary & Benefits
•Hourly Rate: $130 - $160 + super / hour
• Pay Cycle: Fortnightly
• Contract Length: 12 months (with strong potential for extension)

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of multidisciplinary capital projects, with a focus on E&I systems, across operational mining and refining environments.
• Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including front-end engineering design (FEED), procurement, execution, and commissioning.
• Drive innovation through the delivery of technology-driven and prototype-based projects, ensuring practical, scalable outcomes.
• Establish clear project boundaries and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful execution and measurable results.
• Ensure compliance with engineering governance, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and input into project execution plans, prioritizing operability, maintainability, and sustainability.
• Oversee contractor performance, vendor engagement, and interface management across disciplines.
• Ensure project setup and onboarding is completed effectively within the first 90 days.
Requirements
• Strong experience in project management experience, with at least 5 years in brownfield environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline (required).
• Strong background in engineering design, with experience transitioning into project delivery roles.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects in mining, refining, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver technology-based or prototype projects in operational environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong understanding of cost forecasting, schedule tracking, and contractor supervision.
• Full Australian working rights required.
