Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Energy Storage System

Job Description

This position requires regular communication with customers to provide project-level support of our client’s energy storage system solution. The candidate will interact with customers on a daily basis to understand their project technical requirements and deployment schedule when the project enters the execution stage. The role involves working closely with the HQ product and manufacturing group to maintain a comprehensive view of project execution.

The candidate will directly interface with customers to answer technical questions and provide guidance on installation and commissioning. They will also collaborate with the Service team and system solution center to draft technical documents for on-site modifications or retrofitting work. Regular travel to customer sites is required to support project execution, including on-site technical support during the execution phase. This position will require up to 50% travel time and will be part of the sales group, reporting to the Managing Director of Americas, Energy Storage. This is a remote position.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of five (7) years of experience in the renewable energy industry.
  2. At least five (7) years in an engineering role within industries such as EPC, energy storage, battery manufacturing, or system integration.
  3. Minimum of three (5) years of direct project management experience, with the ability to understand and effectively communicate customer needs.
  4. Deep knowledge of PV and battery system installation, construction, labor estimation, and various site layouts.
  5. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drawing software to generate standard engineering drawing packages.
  6. Proficiency in MS Project or similar software to create project schedules and management sheets.
  7. Thorough understanding of local jurisdiction requirements, including NFPA, NEC/UL codes, Electrical Safety Regulations, IBC, etc.
  8. Strong technical writing skills with the ability to draft working instructions or technical guidance.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Mandarin language skills are a plus.
  11. Experience with power conversion or battery systems is a plus.
  12. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and a quick learner.
  13. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is a plus.
  14. PMP certification required.
