ur client is seeking a Shift Engineer in northwest Saskatchewan. This is a permanent position with great benefits, a bonus structure and relocation reimbursement available.
Location: Between Meota and Edam
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7-on / 7-off rotation (days/nights, including weekends and holidays)
Reports To: Chief Power Engineer

Objective
Lead a shift team to ensure safe, efficient plant operations, optimize production, and maintain process standards. Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
- Monitor and control plant operations; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Direct maintenance activities and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Maintain documentation (logbooks, permits, inspections).
- Train and coach operations staff; lead Emergency Response drills.
- Review and update operational procedures; initiate work orders and MOCs.
- Foster a respectful, team-oriented work environment.
- Support HSE participation and incident reporting.
- Experience: 5–8+ years in SAGD operations (Steam Generation, Water Treatment, Oil Treating, etc.)
- Certification: 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate (TSASK or equivalent)
- Skills:
- Familiarity with Delta V DCS and natural gas compressor systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and interpreting facility drawings
- Strong problem-solving, mechanical aptitude, and organizational skills
- Effective communicator and team leader
- Provide direction and feedback to team members and contractors.
- Promote continuous improvement and operator development.
- Must reside locally in the Meota/Edam area or be willing to relocate.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
