Site Supervisor
A client of ours is currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead the on-site delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Queensland region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about safety, quality, and team performance.
The role will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, coordinating civil and mechanical works, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. It will involve managing subcontractors, trades, and internal crews, while maintaining strong communication with project managers and clients.

A client of ours is currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead the on-site delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Queensland region. The role will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, coordinating civil and mechanical works, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. It will involve managing subcontractors, trades, and internal crews, while maintaining strong communication with project managers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate civil/mechanical works on active project sites
- Enforce WHS policies and ensure safe work practices
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Manage subcontractors and site crews to meet project milestones
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
- Monitor quality control and conduct site inspections
- Report progress, issues, and variations to project leadership
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally on-site
- Proven experience supervising civil or mechanical works in water/wastewater infrastructure
- Strong understanding of WHS compliance and QA processes
- Ability to manage trenching, pipelaying, pump station installs, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in reading and applying technical drawings
- Excellent leadership and coordination skills
- Experience liaising with clients, utilities, and internal teams
- 8+ years in civil/mechanical construction, with 3–5 years in a supervisory role
- Background in council, water authority, or utility-based projects (Tier 2/3 contractor experience preferred)
- Practical, safety-focused leader who drives quality and productivity
- Skilled communicator with the ability to manage diverse site teams
- Comfortable working across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
