Schedule: 40hrs/wk, M-F

Position Responsibilities:
Experienced SPID designers to support us on a U.S. nuclear project.
 
The scope of work for these SPID Designers involves:
  • Configuring the Smartplant P&ID project to handle nuclear based execution, symbology and overall design workflows.
  • Over 250+ drawings reside in a Plant3D based environment that will need to be converted out and eventually become Smartplant P&ID intelligent schematics.
  • Reports and drawing management will be an important part of the scope for checking and assuring quality in the deliverables.
  • The SmartPlant team will need to work seamlessly to execute full drawing development and the implementation of process data that provides the input to other tools and to top level repositories like SPF and SDX.
  • Candidates will have a strong understanding of:
    • Rules, symbology, and configuration for integration.
    • Workflows and communication mechanisms between the tools for integration
     
    Company will provide laptops and Nuclear Export Controls training.

    MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS
    • Strong recent proficiency in a SPID designer role.
    • Must be a Canadian or U.S. citizen and resident
    • Must pass a 5-panel drug and alcohol test and a NATO security/background check.

    Essential Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years working knowledge of PC operating systems, Networking systems, and High-Level programming languages.
    • 3-5 years knowledge of PLC systems, DCS systems, MMI systems, and Historians.
    • In depth knowledge of Excel, Approach, Access, and Word.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent people skills -Customer focused Team Oriented.
    • Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
