SPS Testing & Qualification Engineer

NES Fircroft are delighted to represent an Oil & Gas giant on one of their FPSO projects to find their new SPS Subsea Control System Lead based in Paris, France.

This role has a 12 month duration, and is extendable up to 5 years once their SPS Package has been awarded. This role is a residential role based in France and offers a competitive, all-inclusive rate.

The Service Provider shall be responsible for coordinating System Testing and the possible Technology Qualification Program and activities associated with the SPS scope of work according to the technical, quality, planning and HSE requirements.

ACTIVITIES:

  • Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior about the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy an promote and enforce the Anti-Corruption Program in force
The Service Provider shall coordinate, validate, and supervise all SPS Integration Testing activities by:
  • Establishing with SPS Contractor Integration Testing Planning and Schedule
  • Ensuring that the internal interfaces with other SPS entities (Engineering, Planning, Disciplines, Fabrication) are adequately handled.
  • Identify all equipment and tooling for testing purposes and coordinate deliveries for testing purposes and final deliveries
  • Integrate the Testing Schedule on the Overall Package Schedule identifying criticality and synergy.
  • Coordinate and revise, in conjunction with other COMPANY Package Leaders, all integration testing procedures issued by the Contractor/s.
  • Follow up and manage as COMPANY Representative on the test site, all integration testing of the SPS Package, including EFAT, stack up Tests, SIT, etc
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment will be available for the testing as well as ensure that procedure Test HAZID, and all engineering/safety activities are completed before testing
  • Provide daily reports of the testing activities and then follow up on possible punch list items ensuring the close-up in coordination with Package Engineers and Quality.

The Service Provider will also:

  • Assess and monitor the Technical Qualification Program and ensure all technologies employed for the SPS Equipment are qualified for the intended purpose and conditions
  • Supervise Qualification and Testing activities with the technical assistance of the SPS discipline leaders
  • Shall monitor the impact of the qualification and testing program on the SPS schedule

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEREINCED REQUIRED:

  • Qualification: High experience and technical expertise in SPS Execution Testing
  • Professional Experience: At least 20 years
  • Experience within a project: At least 15 years
