Job Summary The Cost Control Manager will lead the planning, monitoring, and control of project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets. This role is pivotal in forecasting expenditures, tracking financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Summary The Cost Control Manager will lead the planning, monitoring, and control of project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets. This role is pivotal in forecasting expenditures, tracking financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership experience at the Director level
- Minimum 25 years of relevant experience, ideally in hydropower; candidates with backgrounds in water treatment, pump station operations, or large-scale water infrastructure projects will also be considered
- Strong initiative and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable managing diverse teams across age groups and cultural backgrounds
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in cross-cultural environments
- Develop and maintain cost control systems and budget baselines
- Monitor actual costs versus forecasts; identify variances and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare and present periodic cost reports, cash flow projections, and trend analyses
- Collaborate with planning, procurement, and engineering teams to validate and reconcile costs
- Support change management processes and assess cost impacts of variations and claims
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, internal procedures, and audit requirements
- Extensive experience in cost control, forecasting, and budget management
- Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Primavera, SAP, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of project controls, planning tools, and Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Knowledge of contract variations, change orders, and their financial implications
- Mandatory experience in large-scale infrastructure or hydropower projects
- Skilled in cash flow analysis and cost risk identification
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Results-driven and proactive in problem-solving
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- High level of integrity and accountability
