Start-up Lead/ Operations Coordinator

NES Fircroft are looking for a Start-up Lead/ Operations Coordinator to managing internal and external assurance reviews , coordinating environmental and compliance reporting, and acting as the focal point for permitting activities.

Location : Bucharest, Romania 
Work Schedule : Mon- Fri
Start date : ASAP 
Duration : 12 Month Contract 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute permitting strategy to align with project schedule.
  • Coordinate with permitting contractors and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure close-out of construction permits and acquisition of operational permits.
  • Manage documentation and submissions for Ministry of Energy approvals.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external authorities to ensure timely delivery of required inputs.
  • Maintain permit registers and ensure validity throughout execution.
  • Support technical safety documentation and approvals.
  • Lead external assurance workshops and manage associated actions.
  • Oversee environmental monitoring during Start-Up and Performance Test phases.

HSSE Duties
  • Comply with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
  • Report hazards, incidents, and cooperate with safety authorities.
  • Participate in HSSE training and promote a safety culture.

Candidate Requirements
  • Education: Master’s degree in Oil & Gas, Public Administration, or Legal fields.
  • Experience: 12+ years in offshore oil & gas, with strong knowledge of Romanian permitting regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record in permit acquisition and design package development.
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
    • Experience working in multinational, multicultural teams.
