System Responsible Utility Systems Engineer

Contract period: 01.10.2024 - 30.04.2027
Location:  This position is fully mobile with base location onshore office Oslo. Mobilization to construction sites in Egersund and Stord prior to start of Commissioning activities is a requirement.



Main Tasks:
- The Commissioning System Responsible for Utility systems is responsible for the planning, execution and supervision of Completion and Commissioning activities for designated Utility systems related to the delivery and integration.
- Contribute in the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
- Provide engineering input  
- Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan. 
- Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
- Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
- Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
- Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
- Plan and call off ATS as and when required. 
- Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services
- Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
- Plan and ensure first fills are available in timely fashion and perform first fills.
- Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment.
- Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
- Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
- Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
- Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.


Qualifications: 
- BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- MSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- Experience from NORSOK projects.
- System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding
- Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage
- Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
- Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
