SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.

As SLB Capturi’s Technology Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of shaping the next generation of carbon capture solutions.

You will lead high-impact R&D programs and technology qualification projects, ensuring our most important technology initiatives move from concepts to real-world applications.

This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep technical expertise and strategic and innovative thinking.

You will combine a strong foundation in process systems and chemical engineering with the ability to align complex projects to business objectives.

Experience with carbon capture processes is a plus, but your ability to see the bigger picture, connect the dots, and drive innovation across multiple stakeholders is what will set you apart.

Expect to work closely with senior technical leaders, subject matter experts, and external research partners, influencing the direction of our technology for years to come.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and lead R&D projects on carbon capture technology.
  • Plan and execute large-scale technology qualification programs.
  • Contribute to the development of the technology strategy and roadmap for carbon capture.
  • Maintain a holistic overview of all ongoing R&D and technology qualification activities to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Drive progress in R&D and technology qualification.
  • Manage budgets and schedules for all assigned R&D and technology qualification activities.
 

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent process-related experience.
  • Proven experience leading R&D programs and technology qualification projects in process industries.
  • Knowledge of carbon capture processes is a plus.
  • Strong technical understanding of process systems and ability to connect technology with business impact.
  • Hands-on experience with technology qualification, validation, or demonstration activities.
