We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power among others. SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.

What will you be doing?
As a Technology specialist in the carbon capture process, you will be part of a team of technology specialists and work with the carbon capture system including heat integration and CO2 handling, and ensure sound implementation of the technology in studies, projects, and product development.

Your Responsibilities
  • Concept and flowsheet development for carbon capture, heat integration and CO2 handling processes.
  • Responsible for creation of documentation (PFD, Heat and mass balances, data sheets and more) to ensure correct implementation of our carbon capture processes, heat integration and CO2 handling in studies and Process Design Packages.
  • Ensure that technical specifications and procedures associated with carbon capture process, heat integration and CO2 handling have the necessary quality in projects and products.
  • Support and assist in operation of pilot plants or plant start-up from a technology perspective
  • Interact with customers to support business development and project execution.
  • Contribute to R&D projects to develop solutions for carbon capture, heat integration and CO2 handling.
  • Identify and assess patentable inventions related to SLB Capturi technology.


Your qualifications
  • MSc, MEng or PhD within Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Physics or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience or PhD
  • Knowledge and experience of process modelling and simulation.
  • Knowledge and experience of process technology and thermal energy systems.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

In addition, it's considered an advantage if you also have
  • Good understanding of technology development and technology
  • Experience of scaling up and commercialization of research, development & innovation results in industrial applications.
  • Experience from the process industry, thermal power and/or engineering companies
  • Operational experience from pilot plants or process plants
  • Experience in technology licensing and management of technical risk
  • Experience of creating/evaluating Process Design Package deliverables as a licensor or owners’ engineer
  • Experience in writing inventions disclosures and patent applications i
  • Knowledge of carbon capture, utilization and storage technologies
  • Knowledge of CO2 compression, liquefaction and CO2 handling in general
  • Knowledge from flue gas handling and emission control equipment
  • Knowledge of steam turbines and steam systems
