Job Overview:
  • The Turbine Technician is responsible for carrying out a range of tasks related to the assembly, disassembly, testing, preparation, and maintenance of gas turbine engines and their components. This role involves working with various engine models, including the LM6000, LM2500, and LMS100, while adhering to established technical guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle and transport materials and supplies.
  • Inspect turbine engines and components for serviceability per technical standards.
  • Document and report issues using service manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with QMS requirements.
  • Diagnose issues during assembly or testing.
  • Operate precision tools, hand/power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Gas Turbines or Aircraft Engine Services.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Able to read and interpret service repair manuals and technical publications to determine work procedures.
  • Experience in the use of various hand tools (torque wrenches, transducers, multipliers, dial indicators, micrometers, scales and other precision instrumentation).
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
