We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to head our Corporate Strategy & Research function.
This role is pivotal in shaping the organization’s long-term strategy, driving business intelligence, and providing critical insights to support decision making across the renewable energy value chain.
The ideal candidate will bring deep sector expertise, strong analytic capabilities, and proven leadership in strategic planning at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead the development and periodic refresh of the company’s long-range strategic plan aligned with corporate objectives.
- Drive annual operating plans (AOPs) and 5–10-year business forecasts, including capacity addition, investment, and diversification strategies.
- Identify growth opportunities across emerging markets, technologies (e.g., green hydrogen, storage), and policy shifts.
Market & Industry Research
- Oversee in-depth research on renewable energy trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and global benchmarks.
- Track and interpret macroeconomic indicators, energy policies, sustainability targets, and carbon transition pathways relevant to the business.
- Publish internal strategy briefs and intelligence reports to inform senior leadership and Board decisions.
Corporate Development Support
- Support inorganic growth initiatives including M&A evaluations, strategic partnerships, and new market entry.
- Provide valuation, scenario modelling, and investment thesis inputs for strategic projects.
Performance Analytics & Strategic Insights
- Partner with Finance, BD, and Operations teams to assess business performance, risks, and operational gaps.
- Lead initiatives to enhance data-driven decision-making and performance dashboards for the executive team.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with C-level leadership, external consultants, investors, and government bodies on strategic matters.
- Represent the strategy function in key forums, including board presentations, investor meetings, and policy round tables.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, or business consulting, preferably in the renewable energy or power sector.
- Experience in leading strategic projects at a group or corporate level.
- MBA from a top-tier institution or equivalent advanced degree in Strategy, Finance, or Energy Economics.
