NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are looking for a WEED TECHNICIAN to join their site based team on a 6-12 month contract

The Role:
- 8:6 roster FIFO Perth
- Immediate start
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor you will support the team with WEED Management across multiple operational sites
Duties Include:
- Conduct weed control activities safely and in accordance with site procedures and legal requirements
- Develop and maintain both annual and weekly weed control schedules
- Maintain accurate records and upload data using GIS systems
- Identify and treat Weeds of National Significance (WoNS)
- Ensure all weed control equipment is maintained in safe working condition
- Assist with environmental monitoring programs (e.g., surface water, groundwater, air quality)
- Provide field support to environmental consultants as required
- Undertake feral animal control and respond to environmental incidents as needed
The Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Environmental or Agricultural Management
- Backpack spraying certifications: AHCPMG301, AHCCHM307, AHCCHM304
- WA Manual Drivers Licence
- First Aid and 4wd certificate (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of weed identification and management
- Competent in the use of GPS devices and mapping software
- A proactive and positive attitude
