NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are looking for a WEED TECHNICIAN to join their site based team on a 6-12 month contract
 
 
The Role:
  • 8:6 roster FIFO Perth
  • Immediate start
 
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor you will support the team with WEED Management across multiple operational sites
 
Duties Include:
  • Conduct weed control activities safely and in accordance with site procedures and legal requirements
  • Develop and maintain both annual and weekly weed control schedules
  • Maintain accurate records and upload data using GIS systems
  • Identify and treat Weeds of National Significance (WoNS)
  • Ensure all weed control equipment is maintained in safe working condition
  • Assist with environmental monitoring programs (e.g., surface water, groundwater, air quality)
  • Provide field support to environmental consultants as required
  • Undertake feral animal control and respond to environmental incidents as needed
 
The Requirements:
  • Certificate or Diploma in Environmental or Agricultural Management
  • Backpack spraying certifications: AHCPMG301, AHCCHM307, AHCCHM304
  • WA Manual Drivers Licence
  • First Aid and 4wd certificate (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of weed identification and management
  • Competent in the use of GPS devices and mapping software
  • A proactive and positive attitude
