Well Integrity Engineering Specialist
Job Purpose
• Provide technical support and guidance on Well Integrity Management System (WIMS), driving current processes, providing and leading improvement initiatives, leading multifunctional teams, and working with the functions and shareholders to development and implement well integrity solutions.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
• Ensure compliance with QG SHE policies and procedures (SHE Manual).
• Manage well integrity, analyse well integrity related issues, perform risk assessment, and root
cause analysis and recommend remedial and preventative actions to mitigate risk.
• Ensure well barrier Inspection, Testing and Maintenance (ITM) in compliance with approved Well
Integrity Management System and review ITM results to ensure barrier reliability.
• Monitor annulus pressure and determine well operating envelope, MAASP and MAWOP.
• Develop downhole corrosion monitoring requirements, monitor, and manage surface and
downhole corrosion, ensure appropriate monitoring strategy / methodology and its effectiveness.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
• Review and update Well Integrity Management System to update it in compliance with company
requirement, industry standards and shareholder’s best practices.
• Develop well integrity related processes and procedures and ensure implementation. Review well
integrity related operational programs and provide input.
• Provide technical support in design and construction of well barriers during the well life cycle.
Advise new ventures during planning phase and start-up to ensure well integrity best practices
are incorporated.
• Develop well suspension and well abandonment requirements and provide technical support
during execution. Ensure well integrity practices are aligned with accepted industry standards and
best practices and corporate guidelines.
• Assess and identify risks in controls and work implementations methods. Understand Safety
Case Elements and Safety Critical Elements, Safeguards, and systems to ensure meeting industry
best practices and recommendations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
• 8 years relevant working experience including well integrity, well suspension and abandonment,
Well Completions / Workover and Rigless operations. Offshore experience is an advantage.
• 5 years working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Significant experience with well integrity management, including knowledge and understanding
of Well Integrity Management System, well barriers, wellheads and trees and their maintenance
requirements, downhole and surface corrosion monitoring, annulus pressure management.
