The Baytown Chemical Plant in Texas underwent expansion in 2018 with the construction of a multi-billion dollar ethane cracker.
With a capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, the ethane cracker provides feedstock to two new polyethylene lines at the Mont Belvieu Plastics Plant, which began production in 2017.
The Mont Belvieu plant is one of the largest polyethylene plants in the world, with a manufacturing capacity of 1.3 million tons per year.
Both projects represent our clients largest chemical investment in the US to date and form part of their wider 10 year and $20billion expansion program.
