Golden Pass LNG operates a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Sabine Pass, Texas. It is one of the world’s largest LNG terminals with regasification capacity of two billion cubic feet per day.
The terminal is a joint venture with four main terminal components:
Dock and unloading facilities for double hulled LNG ships;
Five full-containment LNG storage tanks;
Vaporisation equipment to warm LNG to its natural gas state; and
Associated pipeline facilities and equipment required to transport natural gas from the LNG terminal to existing intrastate and interstate natural gas pipeline systems.
Plans are under development to add export capabilities to the existing LNG import terminal. This new project, Golden Pass Products, will create thousands of jobs and potentially billions of dollars for the economy of the United States.
